This is an issue I've been slightly frustrated with for a long time but never bothered to research it until now.
Why is it that sometimes you can snap to a profile's individual line segment's endpoint or midpoint with running osnaps on in a profile view?
Yet sometimes you can't? (in the example below, it will only snap to an endpoint on the profile at a much earlier station not at a midpoint or endpoint of an individual profile line segment where my cursor is located)
I'm sure it's "user error" but would love to know why this is?
Thank you!

The first thing you should do is check your running Object Snap settings. Is midpoint set?

Thanks for the reply Tim.
Yes, midpoint is set in my running object snaps. These are my go-to running osnaps.

I feel like I've noticed this behavior before and the only difference I found was if the entire profile was being shown in the profile view or not. For example, if my profile view included the full length of the alignment and profile, then the snaps would work, but if my profile view stationing was only showing part of the alignment and profile, then the snaps didn't work. It's been a while since I've tested that theory though.

I wonder if maybe you panned the zoomed-in view and then lost the osnaps.
