Snap feature line without taking an elevation

Is there a way to snap a feature line without taking the elevation of the object you are snapping on to?

OSNAPZ variable will do what you want. Might require toggling on/off, depending on your workflow:

 

0 - Osnap uses the Z-value of the specified point

1 - Osnap substitutes the Z-value of the specified point with the elevation (ELEV) set for the current UCS

0 is an elevation 😲

 

as you are picking right click >> point filter>> xy , select. enter 0
