Slow reprojected ECW images

Hi folks,

I have some georeferenced ECW files (EPSG 32187) that I reprojected in WGS84 (EPSG 4326).

After the reprojection I opened the new drawing (WGS84) and I noticed that it is anormally long to zoom to the reprojected images.

I already reduced IMAGEQUALITY to DRAFT quality without success and the frame of my images have been reduce to the minimum.

Since I don't encounter the problem in the initial drawing (EPSG 32187), it looks like the zooming delay is cause by a constent recalculation of the coordinates between the two coordinate systems.

I would like to know if there is a way, with the DWG containing the reprojected images, to insert the images and getting rid of the reference between the image and its file (which causes the problem, to my understanding) ?

Something else I should try to correct the problem ?

I use Civil 3D 2017.

Thanks alot for your time !

JB,

How are you reprojecting the ECW files?
