Section views

Why ther are two of the same entity in my section views?

In this one I have IP-GC and IP-GC(1)!

But I have just one corridor with this name in my file!

Please take a look at the pic!

Dear Friend,

Looks like these are corridors. Cannot exactly say anything from this.

May be you have an abandoned corridor.

Check in the corridor list whether you have these corridors.

Try to close the drawing including civil 3D, then reopen it and see if it solves the issue.

Thanks

Good morning, Akbar.

I have seen this occur when I do a copybase-paste of a surface to make a copy for lifting (design surface vs. over-dredge surface).  I will make the copy, do the lifting, and save with a new name.  However, the prospector and (for example) the profile generation dialog box will show that "....(1)" surface.  Not sure if it is a bug or not, but I would suggest you just delete it.  Perhaps run Audit and Purge first to see if will remove it.  I don't think it being there is cause for too much concern.

I have personally bumped into something very similar (numerous times of the years) and discovered that sometimes the sample lines / sample line group become corrupt.  As a test and before deleting your current sample line group, try creating a new one and see if it displays the same issue.

I see a few possibilities. Is the corridor Xref'd into the section drawing? Is it Dref'd into the section drawing? Or is it xref'd or dref'd into a drawing that is xref'd into the section drawing? If you can post the drawing  we can have something to work with to solve this.
