Section Views Not Displaying Level Difference

Hi all,

I'm trying to generate section views for a very simple design, however I'm continually running into the issue where the sections are plotting, and displaying the Proposed Levels ("Design" tin) with the same values/heights as the Existing Levels ("Survey" tin).

This means that the Level Difference is 0.

I'm not the most experienced Civil3D user, but I've tried for quite a few hours and done some extensive googling, and have been unable to find an answer. I assume it has something to do with the styles?

I'm using the ANZ Civil 3D Country toolkit, for reference.

Hi @e_honey,

You need to swap out the sample source in the band style. Click on your section view, goto section view properties. From there goto the Bands tab, under the Section 1 & Section 2 you can change the source Surface that the labels read from.

For the Level Difference band, you'll need to have the Proposed Surface as Section 1 and the Existing Surface as Section 2. (or VV)
