Scale object in one direction with scale function

Good afternoon,

Is it possible to use the scale command in only one axis?

Understand that you can create a new block, but it isn't appropriate for what I'm doing.

Kind Regards,

J

Besides using a block, I can't think of one without knowing what your end goal is or what exactly your trying to achieve.

Can you indulge us with just a weeeee bit more information?

Hi Rick,

Am wanting to scale up different components of this excavator. Ie. the tracks to 4m width, but leave the length the same and so forth.  I know other programs allow this, but was hoping there'd be a function in C3D.

Cheers

So I would think you could use a dynamic block to achieve your goal. You could even set different increments that would be a simple grip function that you could set to certain nominal values.

This is an AutoCAD function not a civil3d. I agree with @rl_jackson  the dynamic block feature of AutoCAD can give you independent scale and various lisp function in AutoCAD as @jroot  pointed out.

Make a block, set the X,Y scales where you want, explode the block.
