I may be just missing something obvious...
What I want to do is offset a link at a sampled slope.
I created AP1 at a delta X and Surface from P1. Whatever the resultant slope is, I want an offset line to have that slope.
I used the Define Variables to get the Slope.
But how do I offset the AL1 line, say, down 1 foot? (I don't want to go vertically down 1 foot from P1 and then draw another line at that slope, I want it offset.)
I'd settle for drawing a 1 foot auxiliary line perpendicular to AL1 and then creating the offset line from there, but (and this is where I think I'm missing something obvious), I can't figure it out in terms of slope.
What is the trick here? See screenshot and pkt.
Thanks.
