found the hotfix link.. followed the instructions... all good. cheers!
Hot fix 3 is supposed to fix the original feature line issue.
A bug still exists despite this hotfix. I've already gone through the support team and was told the dev team is looking into it.
Auditing (with error correction) non-closed feature lines with grading objects will explode those feature lines and grading objects. This does not occur with closed feature lines.

I have not seen the Hotfix referred to as Hotfix 3?
The 2016 Feature Line Hotfix can be found here.
I'm sorry, I meant the feature line hotfix, not hotfix 3. Hotfix 3 exists but is unrelated.
The problem I have encountered applies to the grading objects attached to non-closed feature lines. The grading object breaks into static feature lines. Feature lines on their own are not affected (from what I can tell).
I'm running civil 3d 2016, service pack 2, all the updates/hotfixes.
bscott, it should appear in the Autodesk Desktop App. I saw it, downloaded it, installed...and was greeted with a message that my install is already up to date, no need for the HF. But, as far as I know, I have not ever applied this hotfix (it was released today), nor did I do any Beta testing for it. <shrug>
Indeed, it appeared in the new autodesk desktop app. But like I said, didn't help the broken grading object bug that I described earlier in this thread.
