I'm trying to round trip some pipe data between C3D 2019 and SSA. I'm not getting any errors, but it seems the bringing back into C3D is not working. I get the prompt to create a new network, or edit an existing, yet no changes are made. If I start with a blank dwg to import, I end up with a blank model. Can anyone provide some detail as to what I may be doing wrong?
I've attached the file. Right now, I'm just doing some testing as we have not been able to get anything to round trip, and just changed one of the pipes to a different size (60 inch instead of 12 inch).
Another side issue is in SSA, a long pipe gets added from the east end to the west end of the project, it doesnt exist in the drawing.
Thanks,

Don't have a lot of time this morning but I took a quick look at it. Don't have any definitive answers yet but you might want to check the flow directions on your pipes. You have a ton of outfalls for each part of your network.
I was able to take your drawing, edit it in SSA, export out a .stm file, and import that into C3D without issue. I am seeing the long pipe you are seeing. Can you provide your SSA file as well?
Thanks Brian,
Sure I can provide the file I created.
This file was created just to test this, we didnt pay attention to pipe direction when we put it in (its existing and we are not tying anything to it)
Literally, I selected edit in SSA, changed a pipe, saved, and exported to STM, then tried to bring back into C3D.

I was able to import the .stm file you provided as well as exporting a .stm file from the .spf file and then importing that file into a new drawing (had to zoom extents to see it). Are you unable to import this .stm file?
I was not. but you just gave me an idea. We've got something up with our company profile that makes it so we cannot import Infraworks models, or create custom tool palettes, unless we go back to the default profile. let me give that a try and see if it imports it....
.... Well that almost worked. I started a new drawing using the default template and all I got were a bunch of errors in the event viewer

It's something with our template, now the hard part is finding out what.
When importing the STM it works perfectly fine (other than it cant find the right pipe sizes in a default OOTB with updates condition. As soon as I attach our template for reference styles, it no longer will import, even if I detach the reference template, it still will not work.

Can you share your template? If you don’t want it to go public, I have a gmail account that starts with c3dplus.
Thanks Brian for your help. It looks like it wont round trip because I was missing a setting in my template for the Parts List Used for Migration:
Once I put something in the box, the lack of round tripping was resolved.
