Right-click Option to change style of surface to the previous style

Several months ago, I saw something (with a menu image) saying there was going to be an option to right-click and select something like “Last Surface Style.”

It was to change a surface back to the previous Style without having to go to the Surface Properties.

This is something I could use all the time.

Is this something that exists?

Hi @1wildwes

There isn’t an option to switch to the last style assigned to the surface! However 2025 was a big year for surface enhancements, there is a right-click option to reduce the level of detail per surface object (as oppose to the global setting per drawing we had in years past), this reduce contour generation and density on screen.

Also, you might be thinking of the research the team was doing around how to enable TIN Line or Point editing without changing the surface style! You no longer need to change style to perform these operations! Once a tin edit command is launched the software will automatically display the component for editing without style changes. Hope this helps,

I don't see anything on the Product Roadmap. You might want to post this as an idea on the Civil 3D Ideas Forum.

If you want to swap or add/delete a line the triangles automatically appear - I did not know this. Will save me some tedious time.

And it gives you options on reverting.

Thanks Samir
