Hello, 

I have calculated earthwork quantities using sample lines at increment of 25ft. the design also has pipe network in it.

does the earthwork calculation involve the depth of pipe network as well?

Also we did comparison of ground and corridor surface of that road. 

there was a change of almost 500 cubic yard in volume comparison and generating volume reports through sample lines.

500 cu yards means absolutely nothing.  Compared to what  100,000 yards or 2,000 yards.

Without a .dwg of your project, no one can actually give an answer.

There is probably a real good answer.

Are you serious about the pipe network?
