PURGE AUDIT#######-### TEXT STYLES

I guess I had a crash audit on our template I was unaware of.

acad claims these are in use. is the a way to replace them with a legit style so they can be purged? How do I hunt down what/ who is using them?

You could setup a quick drafting standards check file, defined from a new drawing and in that new drawing, define a new dummy text style.  Then open your damaged file and run that drafting standards check.  It will find those audited styles and when it does, tell it use that dummy style your created.

This will at least consolidate all those audited styles into one style

I suspect they are in use by C3D styles. Superpurge will kill them, along with anything referencing them, and anything referencing them, and so on. So maybe destructive, but you could also operate on a copy first.

Will it identify the destroyed styles?

@Joe-Bouza the styles could possibly show as not being utilized.

I've had good luck in the past using the Style Component Find and Replace App by CAD Masters.  It will search out AutoCAD properties like text styles within Civil 3D styles and allow you to change them.

This is fantastic.  I just installed it and it's pretty slick.

@Joe-Bouza I believe this would work for you as it will show the Civil 3D style that your audited text styles are loaded in.

Thanks @sirjoelsph

I am finding real quickly, this doesn't seem to be searching through pressure pipe, fitting, and appurtenance label styles.  I have reached out to the developer to see if they can reproduce the same issue.

Nevertheless, nice utility.

The Civil Styles Properties tool in the Sincpac will do this as well. And it does get the Pressure* label styles.

***** Update*****

A representative from CAD Masters has confirmed to me today that yes, it is indeed the behavior of their app to currently not filter through any of the pressure pipe items.  However, they did say that by the end of this week there will be an update to their app pushed out that will include that additional functionality.

Just passing along the message.

@Joe-Bouza you'll have to let us know if you were able to fix your issue.  I am curious now which label styles those audited text styles got attached to.
