When using Publish to create PDF output from multiple layouts in a Civil 3D 2022 drawing on a Windows 10 PC, the resulting PDF does not reflect the page set ups called for in the DWG plot layouts if you are using the Publish in "Background" option. In my case, with various colored features in the layouts and using a B&W color table (CTB), Publish would produced actual colored output in the PDF or output device, as if ACAD.CTB was being used. It wasn't. The same exact DWG would publish correctly without changes from C3D 2020, even in the Background mode, giving a B&W output correctly.
When I turned off the Background option in 2022, Publish then produced the correct B&W output the first time.
Maybe others have similar experiences. There are past posts on background publishing issues. I don't think it is a new issue to 2022.
