Proxy Objects

Hi, I received several files  probably created in C3D 2017. Opening these in C3D 2015 we got warning about proxy objects. I am sure there are no proxy objects because Qselect comes up empty. There are no boxes around proxy objects either, because there are none! Yet we have to do an Audit and then save and close the file. Next time the same warning comes up. I can not shut the warning down in Option! Objects in the fies are just polylines and hatches, and it would be easy to recreate everything in C3D 2015 again but is this the only solution? File version in both is still 2013, isn´t it?

Still the same file format as 2013,but there were Civil3D object format changes.  Suspect this is what proxies relate too

Most likely as @Anonymous mentioned, but would it be possible to share a simple dwg with such issues, so we can investigate?

Thanks

I am not allowed to share these files, but this is the other warning I revive when trying to save the file as 2015. As I mentioned I am sure there are no civil objects and all blocks are exploded to simple CAD objects!

We are going to enforce a rule using just AutoCAD 2015-16 when no Civil objects are needed in the drawing such as 2D drawing. I suppose just using a template from C3D including some civil objects in default blocks can cause lots of headach. But there some nice functions in C3D one would like to use and that is why I rather start a job in C3D environment!!!

Hi @Anonymous

Without having a drawing to examine have you tried to use in AutoCAD, EXPORTTOAUTOCAD (for 2009 and later version) at the command line or AECTOACAD (for Autodesk software 2010 and newer) to see what the results are.

This will convert your drawing to a basic AutoCAD drawing by exploding the AEC objects. Note: this explodes those objects so they will become AutoCAD Lines/Arc/Circles/etc. I hope this helps!
