Profile View Properties don't change when edited

I am trying to edit my profile but am having trouble clipping the grid at the desired surface I want.  When I created the PV I originally had the grid clipped at the existing surface but now want to show it clipped at the proposed surface.  I've tried going into my profile view properties to edit this option, however when I make these changes and hit apply, nothing updates.  Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Where you go to set the clip target, Profile View Properties, Profiles tab, set the Update Mode to Static for the profile that is the clip target.

I think it's a bug. Why shouldn't you be able to set your profile to Dynamic, but still use it as the clip target?

Try this:

After setting the profile to use for the grid clipping in the profile view properties, edit the profile style, make no changes, just select OK at the bottom. I just tried it in 2015 and it kicks the edited clip profile into changing.

I have seen this issue as well.  The workaround is to temporarily modify the profile view style that is assigned to the profile view. From the profile view style dialog, under the Grid tab, uncheck the "Clip vertical grid" checkbox then click on the "Apply" button. Now change it back by clicking the "Clip vertical grid" checkbox and then clicking the "Apply" or "OK" button.  The grid should now be clipped to profile that you have selected in the profile view properties.

I believe MMcCall402 beat me to the solution and leaves out the unnecessary step of making an actual change to the style. If you don't mind marking his/her post as the solution that would be great.

Thanks!
