Profile Layout Label Group-Tangent Length

Hi

I try add the label inn profile Layout Label Group , I would like to add Tangent Length,  I made other all labels except Tangent Length.

VIP No. 2
Chainage 0+014.50
VIP Level H=1000.30m
Curve Length L=22.000m
Tangent Length B=0.275m                     Required
Radius R=220.000
Lead Gradient i1=4.000%
Trail Gradient i2=-6.000%
K=2.200m

Your early response will be highly appreciated.

I don't see Tangent Length as an available option however there looks to be enough information to use in an expression to calculate the length.

Something like this should do it.  (simple triangle solution using the start and pvi locations)

SQRT(SQR({PVI Station}-{Profile Curve Start Station})+SQR({PVI Elevation}-{Profile Curve Start Elevation}))

When editing profile labels, the label type is Lines. In the label style, add a component that uses either tangent horizontal length or tangent slope length.

Sir,

First of all thank you for the reply,  I got the tangent length in profile layout label text,  unfortunately the all values are getting different,

VIP No. 3
Chainage 0+060.00
VIP Level H=997.57m
Curve Length L=43.400m
Tangent Length B=0.336m                Tangent Length =21.739         I got this value
Radius R=700.000
Lead Gradient i1=-6.000%
Trail Gradient i2=0.200%
K=7.000m

Thank you

Sir,

Thank you for the reply,  my question is  Profile Vertical Crest & Sag Label "Curve Tangent Length" I got the answer from Mr.Mark Mccall because the value is coming some variation from the CAD and Civil3D.

As per you reply I got the answer horizontal tangent Length.  Sir please check the value difference of Curve Tangent Length,  Red text is created from CAD,  Blue value from Civil3D.

Quite frankly you may not know much about what you speak!  What are you trying to accomplish?  Is this some kind of a miniature road?

You are asking about tangents, normally a vertical curve has a tangent coming in the the P.I. and a tangent leaving the P.I.  Now it appears that you are speaking of the tangent portion between vertical curves.

What are you looking for?

Sir,

I got answer from Mr.Mark McCall, and I accepted, I look that one only,  But I just ask the Curve tangent length different value of AutoCAD Curve No.6 (Red Colour) and Civil 3D curve No.6 Curve Tangent length (Magenta & Blue ) .

I just ask that value difference is  same curve value in CAD & C3D.

AutoCAD value B=0.073

Civil 3D Value  20.978

@nizamthonichal

I'm not so sure, but i think:

"AutoCAD value B=0.073 " this is tangent horizonal length (line between curve).

"Civil 3D Value  20.978" this is curve tangent length (tangent to PI)
