Profile Curve Issue

I am having issues with a profile curve going to 0 length. Whenever I enter the .dwg file with the profile, or even a file that references the profile, the curve length shows 0' for me. The issue is that the curve should really be 1310. When my coworkers open the same files containing the same profile, it shows the correct curve length for them. I have tried reinstalling Civil 3D and am still seeing the issue. We are all running the same version of Civil 3D. 

The profile ends at the same station as the end of the curve which seems to be part of the issue. I found that if I add a small tangent after the curve, the curve length shows correctly as the 1310'  

Any ideas why this is happening? Has this happened to anyone else?

Be methodical about creation of your profiles. I generally create my profiles as a single line, then set PVIs, and proceed to add vertical curves based on design parameters. If you have breaks in your profile that could have something to do with it. I generally will create a seperate profile for all breaks since the labelling still doesn't work on all segments of a profile that his broken into separate profiles.

While this may not be the solution, it seems like there is an issue with your Civil 3D session while the other users doesn't have the same problem. How dynamic is the drawing? Is it based on data shortcutted information or xrefs? Make sure you apply the similar processes as the other user that has it working and always remember to regenall, update all related information in your Toolspace or Datashortcut Manager, if something isn't working properly. The curve length should display the same for different users.

Here is a screenshot of my corridor file. The alignment and profile are in a separate .dwg and only referenced via data shortcut. My colleauge closed the alignment/profile file and the curve was showing up correctly. Now when I open the corridor file the curve no longer has a length. I can't figure out why the profile is changing when I am not even accessing the file with the aligment and profile in it.

I also just noticed that I am getting the error message saying that the profile was "modified in a previous version of the software." No one else gets this message when they open the file. I also verified that we are both using the same version of Civil 3D with SP 2 installed.

Hi,

Some times this kind of errors happen with data shortcuts......

1. You can synchronising/refresh data shorcuts

2. if above step does not solve your issue, create new data shortcut of your alignment and profile and assign them to your corridor and delete the old alignment and profile.

Thanks for the responses. I was able to figure out what was causing the issue yesterday afternoon. I compared the files that Civil 3D loads when starting with those on another computer that was working correctly. I found that I had 4 .dbx files that were not up to date with what my colleagues were using. I replaced these 4 files with those from the other computer and now the profile is maintaining the curve that was previously missing.
