Profile being added after Deletion

Civil 3D keeps adding a profile to the profile view even after I delete the profile from the drawing and save the drawing. Please help! It is getting so annoying as the profile keeps showing up in the profile view even after I delete it. Everytime I re-open the drawing, the profile appears.

@LarryS23, I think I've read this post 10 times, could the errant profile be a data reference, or do you have what originally established the profile, still in the drawing in some way. Just guessing a little more info, maybe corrupt file.

I would run an audit first.

Does the profile show up in Prospector? (expand the alignment to show "profiles") If so, delete it from there.

The profiles are not in the prospector.

I can't seem to find why the errant profile is still in the drawing.

Hoping this works for the future. I just deleted a data referenced corridor and then deleted the profiles in the profile view and now the profiles are not showing up anymore after deleting the data referenced corridor.
