I would like to share an issue I encountered. I created a simple model in Civil 3D and exported it to IFC, carefully mapping each object and its properties. However, when I try to validate the exported IFC, I run into two errors that I cannot figure out how to resolve.
The first issue concerns the sign of vertical curves. When they are negative, the IFC does not accept them. I already tried setting the unit as “bracket negative,” but the problem persists.
The second issue relates to the data type that the IFC assigns to the alignment length. I haven’t been able to map this correctly from the JSON mapping files either.
Has anyone faced a similar situation or found a solution to these issues?
