Problem with plotting white

I am attempting to plot a project that includes a black hatched area with a row of white text and linework over it.  However, whenever i attempt to plot paper space converts the white lines and words to black.  Is there any way to keep it white and have it plot?  i know i can change it to an off white gray and it works fine, however pure white would be ideal.

Thanks!

How are you telling the plotter to print the text as white?  A method that works for me is setting the plot style for that item to zero percent screening.  I attached a screen shot of my standard plot style table showing this.
