hi everyone, i am hopeful that someone will help out.

my problem is that some text (sometimes objects) that can be seen on paper space DOES NOT print on paper!!

"paperspace" image shows what is showing on paper space.

"printed" image shows the preview of the same area not showing the text seen on "paperspace" image.

This issue also happens on profiles where likes font print grading percentage text doesn't print but it all  shows on the paper space

thank you in advance

Your text in paper space is on a no plot layer.

Solved...

here is the possible solutions for future reference

  1. check the actual text layer, make sure its printable... if xref.. check in main drawing
  2. check the text if annotative, if yes make sure the right scale is selected.
  3. make sure the main drawing is the same scale as the viewport.
  4. make sure its the right text height, style, color... this will affect it if plot style is set incorrectly.
  5. check the layer the xref is placed, if on a non printable layer it wont print. (that was my issue)

this is the best experience, when more that 2 people work on the same project... no one know who did what and how...

that was the first thing i checked, but the issue was that it was an xref and the xref was placed on a non printable layer by a co-worker.

companies pay hundreds of dollars to create standards and document control and no one use it...

thank you,

I am having a similar problem, but these solutions are not working for me. I'm trying to make a cut and fill exhibit with a volume surface, some text labeling it, and a volumes table. In model and paper space, everything is visible. When I go to a plot preview, only the colors of the cut/fill map and in the table legend are visible. Basically, if it's black, it will not plot. What's really confusing me is that this is the second time I've made one of these in this drawing. The first time I did it, everything worked perfectly. Then, I just made a new layer for the new data, and remade everything on that layer. The layer is on and is set to plot, the text is annotative, and the viewport is active. It only affects anything black. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
