Corridor appears below surface in 3dorbit

I have been trying in vain to find out why my corridor that I created is shown below the surface.

I am using Civil 2019 now but this issue was happening on 2018 as well.

The corridor was created using an alignment that was made from an object which had been copied in from another file, the new profile seems to be set up correctly.

But when I go to object viewer or 3dorbit it appears below the surface.

I am new to the software but I have explored many posts on this forum but cannot find the answer so any help will be appreciated.

Look at the Corridor Properties sheet.  See if you have an alignment as the baseline, then check to see if you have the profile that represents your final grade.

It seems I do have an alignment as the baseline and the profile selected is that of my final surface, in my drawing it is called 'Formation Level'. However it is still shown below the surface.

Check your surface style, under Grid and Triangles tabs, 3D Geometry, Display mode - If it's set to anything but "Use Surface Elevation" you are not getting the true surface visually. Also check the contours and display tabs for this setting.

This worked perfectly! My corridor is now cutting through my surface.

It seems some of my settings were not correctly set up.

Thank you for your help.
