You can go forward with versions of C3D but you can't go back.  If this drawing was opened with a newer version of the software you will have to continue the project with the newer version.

I had no problem opening up in my 2021 version.

Audit found no errors.

This is not your model base file. Everything in this file is referenced short cut. Try opening the drawing where these shortcuts originated from and go from there.

That is the drawing where the short came from.

See attached, see the little arrow in front of the yellow exclamation. That means that the alignment is a data shortcut. If the alignment was created in that drawing, the little arrow wouldn't be there. The alignments or whatever is short-cutted can only be adjusted in the drawing they were created in.  You can short cut an alignment and use it as a reference in another drawing and cut your a profile or run a corridor. But everything in the drawing you uploaded has the little arrow in front of your items in the Prospector Tab. And no I did not get that message, I am using 2019.

Try to do a repair of all your shortcuts and see if that helps since you have the directories i don't

That's to bad i would like to open the save as to see if it shows up like that for me.  I guess i have no choose but to start over with the model.  The data short cuts still work from the project so i guess i will do that.  You can see the file name is correct for where the short cuts came from.  Will they not let you post the drawing back?  Can you email it back to me or upload to a cloud if i email you a link to put it in?

@Anonymous I, too, can open this drawing just fine. Open the Xref and see if you get the same message. Do the same for the drawing(s) that the Alignments are Dref'ed from "175040C-SPMODEL-ROAD-SEC7.dwg" appears to be the main one. When you get the message about newer version, close the drawing and start a session of "C3D As AutoCAD" and open that dwg. Use QuickSelect and look for the object type "PROXYENTITY" (I think that's it, or something close to that) in the list of available objects. Select that and OK. Erase the selection set. Save/Close. It should now allow the drawings to be opened in C3D.

See the source location, that's where to go.

Another thing I noticed the filenames, the source name is different than the file you posted.
