Pressure pipe crossing style shows both ends of pipes

We just updated to 2020. I just noticed that when adding a pressure pipe as a crossing pipe to a storm drain profile, instead of showing a single ellipse at the crossing point as our style tells it to, it shows two ellipses for either end of the pressure pipe.

we have narrowed it down and decided that it has something to do with how this particular pressure pipe was created, its definitely not the pipe style (which was my initial thought).

any pressure pipes that were created in PLAN VIEW and then added as crossing pipes to a profile view show up perfectly fine as they should.

but if a pressure pipe was created in PROFILE VIEW on the water profile, when added as a crossing pipe to another profile view we get this issue with showing either end instead of a single ellipse.

has anyone else experienced this? any ideas why it would matter how the pipe was created?

I am puzzled by your comment that pipes added to profile views show as ellipses just fine. By default, when you add a pipe to a profile view you will see the entire pipe projected into the view, not just an ellipse. To make them show as an ellipse you have to create a specific style for that and apply it as an override in the profile view properties. Could you please clarify if you are doing this?

Yes, we have a previously created "crossing pipe style" that defaults to show the crossing ellipse when the pipe is added to a profile view rather than the entire pipe projection.

typically this style works just fine and we have no issues.
Ill upload some screenshots to show the issue.
in profile "a", ive added a pressure pipe that crosses a stormdrain line to the stormdrain profile. the pressure pipe is set to our "crossing pipe" style, and shows a single ellipse at the exact crossing point (as it should). this pressure pipe was created using the "edit in plan view" pressure network tools and was created by being drawn in plan view in model space.

in profile "b", ive added a different pressure pipe that crosses a different stormdrain line to a different stormdrain profile. the pressure pipe is also set to our "crossing pipe" style, yet shows two different ellipses, one at each end of the projected pipe (when i click on one ellipse, they both highlight showing that they are the same part). this pressure pipe was created using the "edit in PROFILE view" pressure network tools and was created by being drawn on a pressure profile.

I haven't seen that behavior before so I can't diagnose without looking at the CAD file. I suggest you file a support case. Within a few minutes you will get an email from a specialist.

I'm attaching the file that the issue was noticed in. 

i have mleaders pointing to the crossing pipes on the profiles, and an mtext explaining the process by which i added the pipes to the profiles.

At first glance it appears that your crossing pipe styles have been removed.

I have never drawn a pipe in profile first, to the best of my knowledge.  I always drawn pipes in plan first.  We have routines to DRAW PARTS IN PROFILE VIEW, which is after the plan version.  I don't even know how you did it in profile only.

I don't see a menu item "Draw parts in Plan".

so, this file is actually from a coworker. its my understanding that she drew a single pressure pipe in plan view initially, and then created the water pipe profile view and added the pressure pipe to the profile view. she decide she wanted to add some bends to duck down under a storm drain pipe, and to do that, she selected the pressure pipe in profile view, selected "edit network - profile layout tools" from the pressure networks toolbar, broke the single pressure pipe in the two locations indicated by green arrows on the attached screenshot, deleted the segment in between, and then used the "pipes and bends" tool on the "pressure network profile layout" toolbar to draw the 4 45° bends and 3 pipe segments.

i personally have never done it this way, BUT, since this IS an option provided by the program, i dont think it should/understand why it would affect how these pressure parts are shown in other profiles?

I brought a crossing water pipe style from one of my models and got the same double ends as before.  I went into one of my models and used that same crossing style and got the normal single ellipse.  It could be something in your drawing or perhaps that short pipe is the problem.  By any of my methods using Station Tracker I verified that the two ellipses are on each end of the pipe.

I thought perhaps someone would jump in here with the solution.
