Pressuer Network question

This has already probably been asked. (which does show my lack of experience, and please forgive me if there is already and answered)

But I have just started to recently to use CIVIL 3D. And I found getting it to create a Pipe Pressure Network from an object which was great. And it is easy to show in my profile views.

But my issue is that I can get it into the profile just fine. But I can't seem to find a way for it to get any data form it. Such as cover (RL and depth from surface) and the Grade %. For the Bands at the bottom (or top) on the profile.

I have been hunting online trying to find an answer and have failed to find answer. It works from what I have seen for pipe networks from what I have seen. But I just can't seem to find a way for it to work off a Pressure network work.

The reason that I am asking this as I work in a Natural Gas company and we are starting to use CIVIL 3D to design pressure networks that need the profiles that CIVL 3D gives us. And Bores.

But I can't seem to get the information for the pressure network in the profile. And I can see that it is capable of this. And would save so much time it if could. Such as Top of Pipe RL, Grade, Length etc.

This hopefully is an easy fix. As the pressure network tool is great. But just don't understand why when asking for all the information it is required to produce the profile including the pressure networks, that it won't look for the information to add to the profile.

Or do I need to look at making it Pipe Network?

Thanks in advance, and hope what I wrote is not to confusing.

Good day

Unfortunately, you cannot link pressure network data into the data bands of Civil 3D long sections.  This is a known issue with Autodesk and I am sure there are plenty other ppl wanting the same functionality.

What you can do to work around this is setup a normal profile label that is dragged down to the data band with the required information.  The data band will obviously just have the title with no information.

I hope this answers your question

Thanks for the reply.

It sort of confirmed what I have been reading everywhere else.

I have worked a way around it myself. Just through they might of been something that I was missing.

Still hoping that they have it fixed in the next version.

Frustrating really. To have something built in that only goes 1/2 way. It will make life so much easier if they do.
