popup dialog? not working

Ok  we have a station where the operator had a file crash on him and now he says the program is not working the way he is used to having it.  I am not sure what to call this so I will describe how it normally works and go from there.

When he selects the command, say to Create a pipe network from objects, a little box would pop up asking if he wants to reverse the flow direction. This box is no longer working. How do we get it back on. I realize it shows up in the Command line, but he wants the little popup box.

FILEDIA = 1 is the typical fix for this

I Realize that "File dia1" works for using file folders to open drawing files after a crash But What I am needing is the little box that pops up that is next to the crosshairs of the curser. Giving options

or Does "Filedia!" work for both?

On command line enter DYNMODE, then "3", then ENTER. Alternatively, go to Express Tools Tab=>Tools Panel=>System Variables. Enter "DYNMODE" in search box (top left). The values allowed (or the variables), will be presented in the middle area with their descriptions.
