I have Label Styles set up for the labels if my points. I have the angle of text: "Orientation Reference" set to "VIEW" so it always shows horizontal on the screen. It follows my rules when I enter an elevation. But if I choose not to enter an elevation (not even 0) so it just shows point number and description, the angle of the text will now change. It seems to be related to the D-VIEW. so if my D-View is at 45degrees it places the text angle at 45degrees to match. Sometimes it's not bad but sometimes I have such a huge D-View angle that my text is at an awkward angle. Is there a generic label style it is choosing when I don't enter an elevation? A style I can change to also set the "Orientation Reference" to "VIEW". And would this style apply to ALL my labels styles?

I have attached a photo of the differences. For this job I have a D-VIEW of 25degrees.

Can you post a screenshot of each of you components in the Label Style Composer? I have an idea that it may be related on how the components are related to the elevation or visa versa.

I see. Since they are anchored to the Elevation, when I have NO elevation
they don't know what to anchor to. So what style it is choosing to use to
dictate it is at a 0 angle? Something must determine / set the rule as a
deault. IS there a way to change this?

If there are supposed to be attachments I don't see any. My guess is that since the other components are anchored to the elevation and it's not being provided. That disconnects the other components from the orientation.

If you submit a small drawing with some of these points, it should be quite easy to recommend a fix.

I'd recommend editing the label style to anchor the Point # to the <Feature> and then anchor the description and elevation to the point number. Points always have numbers so the source of the anchoring should be stable.

Another option would be to simply use one text component with multiple lines that stacks the point properties.

I've tried to replicate your issue and have come up fruitless, a drawing would be best. ~~I'm not seeing any way to tell C3D that you want # and Desc when there is no Elevation input short of that you must have a Description Key or Point Group that is overriding the defaults.~~

Here is my template file.

You will have to let me know what you change, because I will probably have to change it on every single point label style this happens for (it may be about 5-10, others I do not show elevations and I use a generic value).
