Point Group Label Styles Won't Change From Point Group Properties

To start with, I'm running Civil 3D 2015. I don't think I had this problem on 2013, but when I try to change my label styles from the point group properties menu, I can chnage them to whatever I want: Description Only, Description and Elevation, etc. Ever since I began using 2015, I have this weird issue that when I add points to a file, then add them to individual point groups and try to change the label style, the style won't change. I can change it a million times to different styles, but they won't update to the new selected style. The only way I can change the style appears to be selecting a point from a specific group, selecting all, opening the edit points window, selecting them all and shift+left clicking the style to change it manually. When this window opens up, the lable style will still be set to whatever it was set to in the drawing I copied the points from.

Does anyone know if I have a setting screwed up or something?

If a point has a style or label style assigned to it, the Point Group styles will not be used unless the Styles Overrides are checked on for the Point Group.

Post your dwg file.  We can try guessing all day.

You can make a new file and add one or two of these points to it.  That should address any possible privacy concerns that anyone might have.

CE83,

Jeff_M hit the nail on the head.  Your points have styles assigned to them.  You have two options if you want to change how these points are shown:

  1. Change them individually.
  2. Edit the Point Group Properties (on the Overrides tab).  Turn on "Style and Point Label Style".  This will make it so that any points falling into this Point Group will be displayed per the PG's settings.

In the following image, I've opted for the second choice and even though the Points' settings have not been changed, they're displaying differently.  The revised dwg (C3D 2016) is attached for your example).

Yeah.....I didn't set some of these up, some other guy made the No_Display style by just copying another style and set the label display to false instead of deleting all the content for the label. Thanks guys, I was able to sort it all out with your suggestions. I appreciate the help.
