Point codes in subassembly composer

Is there a way to suffix a point code for the side of the origin, I know ho to do it for side, but it would be good if I could prefix side of origin or a specific point. Also is there a way to increment codes, this is so I can generate unique feature lines especially on a loop like a stepped bench

Hi @CharlieGreene7827

Depending on the side of the point? If so, evaluate the side of your point by using an auxiliary point and a decision. First, check whether the X position relative to the origin is either positive or negative. Then, you'll know if the point is located to the left or right. Finally, create the point using the correct code depending on the side of the logic branch. See the images

Regarding the specific codes to create unique feature lines, you can manually emulate the process of the loop for a determined number of benches. In this way, you'll have the possibility to control the specific code decision by decision and the geometry parameters of the slope and benches. Go bench by bench, evaluate the generation of the next one, and set everything according to your needs. It's a long way to achieve this, but it works.

I hope this helps, best regards!

Thanks but this isn't quite what I want, I am already using a variable, with   if(Side=Left,"-l","-r"), this will give me a suffix of either -l or -r depending on the side of the insert, there fore when the feature lines are extracted, I get feature lines with unique names, based on there point codes. However when I have an assembly that has the origin in the centre like a trench or ditch, I cannot use the side option.

I have just tried a variable using a auxiliary point at the origin , IF(AP19.X>=0,-r,-l),but as AP19 is fixed at the origin it will always be =0 but never  < >.

As regarding the loop, what I am after is feature lines with unique Id for geotex layers in an embankment at 250mm verticle spacing following the slope of the embankment tat is upto 4m in height and 90m long
