Plotting from civil 3d 2019 to dwg to pdf.pc3 driver and i get the warning;
WARNING: The drawing contains text with unicode characters in a referenced font. The PDF may not display correctly on all viewers. Capturing fonts for this drawing is recommended.
If i plot the same drawing from civil 3d 2018 I get no warning and it plots fine.
I assume I'm missing some sort of file path. Both plotted using same pc3 file, plot styles, text styles etc.
Any ideas?

Check your PC3 setting.
Add all fonts...

Thanks for the reply, I would prefer to not have to capture fonts within the pdf, the file sizes are big enough as it is.
As I said, it works fine in 2018 without capturing fonts using the same pc3 file, so I don't see any reason why it can't work in 2019
Please check if a font is missing when you
a) open the file in 2018
b) open the file in 2019
Perhaps your fontalt is different or
it is also possible that both version have different mapping files for the font.
Without the data zip (etransmit), i can not check this.

Regardless of the current problem search.
If you do not include the fonts, then the PDF can look different on each machine.
And so much does not make the fonts in the file size, right?
But now I am also interested in where the difference is 😉

I have always taken the view that since the font is Arial then everyone should have it, albeit I take your point regarding it.
I was more concerned about the file size of cut & fill drawings we produce that are heavily coloured, but it appears the file size doesn't increase as much as I feared.
I've narrowed it down to a civil 3d pipe label thats causing the issue...its looking for 'ArialMT'
I think I will embed the fonts though

Had the same issue, on Autocad electrical.
Somehow resolved by saved the .pc3 file under a different name. (on the default filepath). I leaved .PMP files as I wished.
Go to Layout/ Page setup
Modify desired page.
Previously I had "Acade - DWG to PDF", and now after I saved it as "Acade - DWG to PDF_Cristian"
. After hitted "OK", it asked me if I want to update all layyers.
I said "yes", and then retry plotting ... it seems it worked. 🙂
PS: Also I reinstalled ArialMT in the previous step, but this didn't resolved my error, so I don't know if it is counted.
I think that saved the device / .pc3 file as overwritted (when I made some changes) caused this error in the first place.
