I am having a "problem" with creating plan and profile sheets due to the large level differences in my profile. The plan and profile sheets are produced but the profile gets chopped off and I can't figure out how to get around it short of manually creating the sheets (which is a bit counter intuitive given Civil 3D's capabilities)
Is there a way of getting this to work??

My findings:
For some reason the profile views do not scale vertically, so you need to go into the Profile View Properties for each profile that was generated for each sheet and specify the minimum and maximum elevations:
* Select Profile View in model space for a given sheet
* Select Profile View Properties
* On Elevation tab:
* Uncheck Split Profile View if checked
* Select User Specified Height
* Specify Minimum Elevation and Hit Apply
* Specify Maximum Elevation and Hit Apply, OK
* Type REGEN to update drawing
Note that is also helpful to draw frames on your original profile so that you know what minimum and maximum elevation you are going to need for each profile section.
This is based on the following post and my additional observations: Plan-Production-Tools-Profile-Height
As far as I know there is not a way to have the Plan Production tool take care of this part automatically.
Thanks for this - my expectations of C3D's capabilities in this area were higher than reality.......!!!!!!
Now I can tweak the profiles to get them to best fit

No problem. Glad that helped. Yes, it seems that the vertical scaling should be automatic, but at least there is a work around. Good luck with project.
Dear Friends,
Hear is my problem:
I have created an alignment and a design profile for it (without any surface).
when I generate Plan-Profile sheets for it in a new file, the lowest point of design profile falls down exactly on the bottom axis. In fact, I want to put some space between bottom axis and the lowest point of design profile.
(I should say I tried "padding" in the profile view style window, but it didn't work.)
Tnx
My candid opinion on this you have to check your vertical scale on the profile view style. adjust it to your desired satisfaction that is increase or decrease the scale
