Pipe Network rules: Potable Water 1.2m below surface doesn't work

Hello everyone,

I am having problems with pipe network rules and potable water.

The objective:

I have proposed elevations from a landscape architect. These elevations will most likely change during the project and I would like to make the potable water as dynamic as possible.

I would like to assign a pipe network rule with a minimum cover of 1,2 m which will update the pipes when I hit "Apply Rules".

I have tried doing it but it ends ups looking like the image below.

Green line: Proposed terrain

Light blue: The potable water

Red line: How I would like the potable water to look

I have diveded the pipe up in to 5 meter segments so that the slope will adjust in between. But I cannot make it work and I have been trying for 3 hours now...

Can you please tell me what rules I need to apply?

Right now I'm using the following:

Structures (null): Nu rules applied

Pipes: Cover only (min 1.2m and max 2 m)

I hope someone can help!

Thank you in advance and all the best!

Mikkel

edit: I'm btw using C3D 2015.

Since you seem to be using a pipe network and not pressure pipe network (which I understand why because the pressure network sucks IMO) I'd guess it's because there might be a non-written minimum 0% slope rules.

As in the pipe will not get a positive slope (upwards slope in flow direction) because of the minimum cover rule.

Thank you for commenting.

Solution:

I changed the minimum slope to -100% and the max slope to 100%. That did the trick!!
