Parcel closures - error displaying report

Civil 3d 2021 trying to run a parcel report i get this message, help me fix this

What kind of report did you create? Xml, csv?

It looks like acad cannot find a program to open the file you created. Do you have programs installed in Windows to view the file type created?

well we have never had to think about it before we just upgraded to civil 3d 2021 have always used parcel reports and never have had a problem

This is a long shot, but could phantom parcels be causing it?  Have you tried the "clearphantomparcels" command?

That looks like it could be related to the browser your using, try Internet Exploder if not current to see if that changes things.

Rick hit the nail on the head. Just to add a bit I think IE needs to be the default browser in windows.
