Paper Space regen issue

Several users, including myself, have a regen issue when opening sheet drawings with viewports. This has been occurring for at least 4 years. When zooming or panning the drawing takes several seconds to regen, to the point of being not able to realistically work. The viewports may  have different scales. Changing regen auto, level of detail or graphics performance does not appear to help. Restarting C3D does solve the issue most of the time.

Could be your graphics card.  Is it one that is supported by Autodesk (https://www.autodesk.com/support/system-requirements/certified-graphics-hardware/autocad)?   Toggle on/off the hardware acceleration to see if that helps.  To do this type in 3DCONFIG at the command line and hit ENTER.  In the box that appears you'll see the hardware acceleration switch.
