Overridden Text Warning

Anonymous
Not applicable

For the first time this morning I'm getting a warning on all general labels where I've overridden the default text. Anyone know why and how I can disable this?

Civil 3D 2017 sp1.0

Service pack installed this morning.

Thanks

Thanks Jay_B!  I read on another thread that, with the labels selected, one can right click 'Clear overrides'.  But I did not want to do that incase it limited my future options for easily identifying these!  So, your drawing-wide "visibility" control from Options is the best I've found - thank you.

Accepted solution

@governorbob,

That option is for the glyphs that show up when you edit an alignment and Civil 3D edits the profile for you. It will place the little warning symbols on each entity of the profile that it has changed. The label override warnings don't have that option.

Autodesk received a lot of complaints about this new feature and added a button on the Annotate tab of the ribbon. Depending on which version of Civil 3D you're in it's either at the far right end or just to the right of the Add Labels button. This allows you to toggle on and off the text override symbols without toggling on and off the rest of the symbols (such as the alignment warning symbols, the pressure network design check symbols, the profile warning symbols, etc.).
