OSNAP, ORTHO, etc tabs

I just got autocad civil 3d 2017.  I noticed that the there are no tabs toward the bottom of the screen for the OSNAP, ORTHO, etc.  I know it has some buttons (symbols) but I want the tabs back.  Is there a way to get those back?

Wondering if you had a chance to look into solving your issue with the advice given?

The STATUSBAR is set to 1.  This only shows me the symbols instead of the tabs with the abbreviations.  I was thinking this was an option in previous versions.  I'm sure I could get used to it, but I like the old tabs like in the attachment in my original post.

I don't know if it works in 2016 I can't get it to work in 2015 or 2017.

This is what I was talking about, but there doesn't seem to be an option to change from icons to text.

After reading this old post, it appears as if Autodesk has removed this function.

Indeed, we no longer have the option for text instead of the icons. Icons only.

If it makes you feel better, I loved the old way too. It didn't take long to learn the new buttons and I prefer it now.
