Everytime I go to toolspace, setting tab, right click on the drawing to edit drawing settings, civil 3d crashes. Attached is the dwg below.

yup, it crashes. Tried doing a recover, audit and removal of regapps and it still crashes.  Open a blank new drawing and insert this file, then explode and see if it still crashes. If it doesn't, do a saveas and overwrite the old one.

Hi @mwyoung ,

Thank you for posting in the Autodesk Forums where the entire Autodesk community can benefit. I see you have an issue with a specific drawing file crashing when you are attempting to edit the drawing settings.  I can confirm the same behavior is happening on my end. What I did to resolve the issue:

1. Opened the drawing and did a PURGE, AUDIT and -PURGE

2. Detached all Xref's from the drawing and turned all layers on in the drawing

3. Type "WBLOCK" on the command line

4. Selected All the objects in the drawing (do not simply do CTRL+A or WBLOCK the entire drawing)

5. Opened up the New Block.dwg

6. Ran PURGE, AUDIT and -PURGE

Afterwards it was not crashing when editing the drawing settings as it was previously. See my attached drawing New Block.dwg.

If this works on your end as well, please hit the accept solution as this has benefited you and other forum users!
