When I load the online map data, the units are way off. It measures the width of a road to be 2ft 6in when it is supposed to around 30 feet.... I have the correct cordinate system and my units are in feet... Can't seem to find where the issue is. Can someone help?
Do you have at least one cad entity in the vicinity of the map area displayed?
Simple line, point etc. as it helps to have an object in the file.
Yes, I imported a DNG all of which measures correctly.
Its atually off by a factor of 12, if i scale my drawing to 1/12 I can overlay my image perfectly with the roads that I am working with.
Enter EDITDRAWINGSETTINGS at command lline.
Units and Zone Tab, drawing units set to Feet?
Enter UNITS at command line.
Length > Type: set to Decimal.
D,
Engineering units are the same as Architectural, only with decimal inches instead of fractions.
I haven't had any luck trying to "fix" a C3D drawing that was started with anything other than Decimal Feet. Best to slowly back out of the room and start over.
Another consideration is type of foot. Your Coordinate System uses Survey Feet, which are 2 PPM larger than International Feet. So if you change Units from Engineering to Decimal, you've got a 2 PPM problem. I hope AutoCAD will someday add Survey Feet to the list of Units.
