Object viewer freeze when graphics acceleration on

I have this issue for a long time. i think it freezes on viewing tin surfaces. only when hardware acceleration is on. when off works awesome but then lots of things become slow in modelspace like copying object with the ghost object showing.

once freeze it's forever freeze. super annoying sometimes i forget to save and then i would lose an hour work.

i don't remember i posted this or not. it' s one of those things that maybe computer and software specific. i haven't tried a fresh install on a fresh computer and open the same drawing if does this. software reinstall is going to have to wait for a bit.

set to the 2d hardware assist is ok just not 3d and full on.

Hi @wang890 ,

There might be few things that may cause the issue.

First of all - which version of Civil 3D are you using. Does it have the latest updates installed?

What is the graphics card and the driver that you are using. Does it comply with https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware ?

Are you using secondary screen? If so, does the file behaves the same when using only primary screen?

Have you checked the file against corruption? How big is the file/object that you are trying to display in object viewer?
