Object not found error message

Hello,

I just started using CIVIL 3D. I have this error message appear all the time. I assigned a surface to the target dialogue but did not solve the problem. When the corridor is built has a strange shape (check the image below). For the Daylight, I am using the BasicSideSlopeCutDitch. I tried using other options for the Daylight but still have the same problem.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.
