Not able to import CSV point file

From the Civil 3D tabs, I go to insert, points from file, and select my csv file. Once I select the file it says that no point file format match found. I have checked the csv file in excel and notepad looking for errors, but it looks fine. I got the data from my university, so it should`ve been okay. I`m uploading the csv file here if anyone can find what`s wrong.

It looks like your original .csv just had Northing, Easting and Elevation and I got the same error message when trying to import.  After opening the .csv and editing it to include a Points column (numbered) and a Description column (NG), I was able to bring it into C3D:

Take a look at the modified .csv and see if you can import that using the PNEZD comma separate format

When you try to import you should see a dialog similar to the following. Click the icon highlighted in red to turn on filtering. If not, then you are missing the file format. You should be able to find them in another template file on your machine or from another user's machine. If not post back and someone will help you create one.

Hi,

When you import the csv make sure it is not open in excel or notepad.

If the file is opened while you are importing it will not let you import the points
