Not able to enter geographic coordinates, only absolute

Hello,

I have encountered the following problem. I have a georeferenced drawing. My coordinate system is NZTM. The georeference appears to be correct, when I move the cursor around the correct geographic coordinates are displayed (I double checked against Google Earth). I want to add points to my drawing and place them according to their geographic coordinates. However, when I enter the geographic coordinates, the points are way off their target. Navigating to the points, the displayed absolute coordinates are identical with my geographic coordinates, telling me that I have entered absolute coordinates. Does someone know how I can change the input settings so that I can type in geographic coordinates?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Toby,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
Use the Transparent Command 'LL.

Hello @toby_zaege

Two questions:

  1. Did you assign NZTM before or after you inserted your points? <<Assign NZTM before you add points or any linework.>>
  2. How did you enter geographic coordinates (what command or procedure did you use)?
