Imported Points in wrong location

Hello,

I've the following problem and would be appreciative of any help.

I have imported a drawing and georefenced it to NZTM. The aerial map is aligned with the drawing. Moving the cursor within the drawing gives me the correct Long/Lat coordinates at the bottom of the screen, the cursor however only shows absolute coordinates and i can't get it to change. When i transform the displayed lat/long coordinates to NZTM, the transformation and coordinates are correct. Checking the Drawing settings via Toolbox confirms NZTM.

When I add a point and enter the lat/long or NZTM coordinates or when i import a point file with lat/long coordinates or NZTM, the points are way off, by hundreds of kilometres.

Does anyone have an idea what the reason could be?

Thanks

Hi Toby,
A screen shot please of the Point File Format you're using, and a small sample of points you want to import.
