New Polyline Linetype

When drawing a new polyline is there a way to have the Linetype property set ByLayer rather than Continuous? It works fine for the Colour but it's a PITA to have to change to ByLayer afterwards

Neil confirm that when you open the properties dialog with nothing selected the linetype set here is ByLayer.

Try entering -LT @ command line > "S" for Set.

-LINETYPE
Current line type:  "Continuous"
Enter an option [?/Create/Load/Set]: S

Specify linetype name or [?] <Continuous>:

Should be set to bylayer.

That's exactly what the props dialog does. 😉

Thanks to all for the replies - CELTYPE now set to ByLayer....:)

Wasn't aware of that setting at all (as was apparent from my initial query...!!!)
