Network style in 3D

Hi All,

Does anybody has had this problem?.

I have this pipe network with his structures. In 2D the structure looks good on the screen, but in 3D, even I can see is there, is not appearing. The structure style setting model is active. Also, the model tab is set as per the images, but If I change to Use simple 3D part, looks the same.

change your style under object style from the structure properties

I see that you have the layer turned on for model view, is it set that way for plan view?  The dropdown in your picture that says model, switch it to plan and ensure the layer is turned on.

It appears like the structure you're using is a Null structure.  Null structures are basically pipe to pipe connectors.

What were you expecting to see in the 3D view, something that extended to the surface in a cylindrical shape?  For that, you must use a cylindrical structure.

Hi Mark,
Thank for the answer. I have considered this fact. It is this that is making me crazy. All the structures are connected. There are not Null structures. Also, into the style structure, I have turned on all the views. I mean, in plan and model.

Hi @manuel.carpintero75MDV ,

Thank you for posting us.

I see you have a problem to display your Pipe Network's structures in 3D correctly.

Is this a custom or standard structure? If it is a custom one, could you explain how it was created (i.e. Part Builder, IPE)?

Could you share with us sample drawing with a display issue, please? It would be helpful to further troubleshoot your issue.

Regards,
Wojtek

One thing to check is the elevation of the structure's top and sump. I've had it where I couldn't see it in 3d because the pipes weren't attached and I couldn't see the structure in 3d.

Next, check to make sure that layer VA-DRAN-BRUNN is thawed/on. Try changing the 3d viewport to be concept or another shaded view to see if it'll show up.

Thank you for your confidence and for sharing your file with us (in privet message).

Can you confirm what version of Civil 3D was used to create your file? Do you use any specific Country Kit?

I noticed that Pipe Network has been made from some custom parts and those are missing.

unable to load part family.JPG

Missing parts can't be displayed correctly in 3D, as they are displayed as a Null Structure.

Providing missing parts catalogs should able Civil 3D loading part families correctly and solve your issue.

If you are sure you should have these parts' catalogs, please follow the steps in the article:
"Unable to load part family” message when attempting to swap parts in Civil 3D

Thanks,
Wojtek
