Need help-corrupt sites

Somehow I have several ghost sites in my drawing. They do not appear in Propsector but they show up when any dialogue allows me to select a site (i.e. Move to Site). I have spent hours trying to figure out how to get rid of them.

If I delete the Site in Prospector it erases all the gradings and FL in the site. Then if I run Audit, the Site gets restored and more feature lines show up in the site. What is really strange is if I select one of these FL in propsector and Move to Site, the dialogue shows the Featureline is not in a site. See attached screen captures.

I have a huge amount of work in this drawing so I can't afford to lose it. I also am severely crunched to get this project out. I am desperate to find someone that understands this behavior.

@Neilw_05

Can you provide a copy of the file for review?

@Neilw_05

Do you have the latest updates installed? What version of C3D are you using?

Try running a purge using the following purge options:
- Regapps
- Zero-Length
- Empty text objects
- Orphaned data

Then run a Audit and choose "Yes" to fix any issues found.

Based on your signature, I take it you're using C3D 2018. That being the case, please download and install Civil 3D 2018.2

One of the fixes were:

Stability when using the Move to Site command has been improved

 Installing this update should fix the issue, but you still may be required to purge and audit the drawing again.

Keep me posted.

Updated to 18.2 and purged but problem still exists.

Here is a link to the file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/efecfaucnmb4rmd/Grading%20Purged.dwg?dl=0

I've indicated a featureline that gets ghost vertices when moved the the first SITE GRADING site in the list of duplicates.

Really hoping you can figure this out. I am burned out on troubleshooting this file.

So I've managed to get past this problem by abandoning some gradings and just using Featurelines. The file is still corrupt but hopefully I can get this project out without any more issues.

If anyone knows exactly how to fix the file I welcome the advice. Otherwise I am not going to spend anymore time on troubleshooting.

Neil, open your DWT and he heck for those a phantom sites by using the quick select took. Choose Parcels. Most issues I've seen were due to these in the DWT. They obviously propagate every new project.

I've seen thousands of these in a single file.

Cleanhantomparcels is a command you can try. I may have gotten that wrong. Just type phantom at the command line and you'll see it. It's rarely successful in my attempts, but it does work sometimes.
