Moving georeferenced maps to correct location

Is there a way to move a series of maps that were suppose to be georeferenced to the actual correct location without having to re-do all the georeference work over again?

There is a series of 80 maps that were supposedly georeferenced but they are way off the correct area by quite a huge amount. I am unsure on if he had set the correct coordinate / datum when completing the project or what he did that made his maps way off.

Appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks!

Hi @hao.pao,
Can you post the two images and your drawing? (zip everything together)

Hello @hao.pao

Three questions.....

  1. What coordinate system did you assign to modelspace?
  2. Do you know the NATIVE coordinate system of those 80 maps?
  3. Have you turned on Bing Map Hybrid?

Did you want the original drawing the person was working on or the drawing that I used to try to trouble shoot the issue?

I turned on the Bing hybrid map in order to see if the alignment line was off or not. The alignment line is correctly placed over the hybrid map.

The maps originally did not have any coordinate systems. But after the person georeferenced the map, there is a jgw file associated with the map jpeg.

Update: I spoke to the person that did the work. He DID NOT set a coordinate system before bringing in the alignment and the maps. After we set the coordinate system, the alignment line and maps are still way off...

Hi everyone. I just ended up selecting everything and then "align" it to the correct place. And then fine tuned the georef maps afterwards.

Thanks for all the help!
