Mleader Functionality with Label Styles??

Curious if there are any updates to AutoCAD that would allow for more versatile label styles to react more like Mleaders swapping the direction and side of the configuration depending on placement.

Typically 2 styles must be created to go either right or left when a callout block is included and I was curious if there were any new developments that would allow only 1 style to be created and change depending on what side the mleader comes out of.

I also don't want to have to manually drag the mleader portion of the style around but am looking for a more automated solution. Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks!

From day one of Civil 3D this can be done.  Go into Label Style Composer, Dragged State and change the Display from As Composed to Stacked Text.

You may not like the order that is displayed, so you have to re-do the order in the manner you want.

Bill, @Anonymous specifically mentioned label styles that include callout blocks.

Dragged State using stacked text is exactly that; Stacked text dropping any Blocks, Lines or Arrows included in the style.

If this is a solution, it is a kind of?  …  sort of?  …  maybe?  …  partial?  …  halfway?  …  Civil 1½D?  sort of solution.

This has been mentioned previously in this and the Ideas forums. Perhaps we can agree that there is room for improvement! As you mentioned, it has been this way since day one of Civil 3D.

Thank you very much for your input and examples. My apologies, but I didn't communicate it very well. I have most of my Mleaders setup with callout notes like a box with a 1 and depending on what side it lands on I have to create 2 styles to keep consistency with what side the callout note shows up.

I was curious if there was a way to make the layout of the entire style flip automatically depending on what side the leader line is on. That would be wonderful 🙂
