Maximizing performance using dual graphics cards NOT in SLI

I received a new work computer  -  dell precision 5810 - and it came with dual nvidia nvs 315 cards that are NOT in SLI.

What is the best way to configure the cards (physx?) and autocad civil 3d in order to maximize performance overall? Is there anything to do?

I played in the Nvidia control panel but am unable to use the second graphics card at all. Both my dual monitors are plugged into a single card (because I get nothing out of the second card), and physx is auto selected to run on the same primary card. Was it pointless to get the dual cards? Unfortunately I was not involved with selecting the workstation...

These are the current settings in the nvidia control panel. I don't know of any settings in autocad that I can adjust, so if you do let me know.

Autocad doesn't use Phys X or multiple graphic cards

So absolutely no reason to have dual cards? I can remove one and give it to someone else?

unless you have another program that uses dual graphics card  you don't need to dual graphic cards
