Lineweight problem

One of these freaky Friday things. I have to be missing something.

I have a drawing that has Xrefs and Layouts. I have one layer, AQ-PE101, that shows a different lineweight in the layout than others set the same. Here are the layers from the Xreffed Drawing . I've highlighted the three visible in the screenshot below.
Here are the layer setting in the drawing I want to plot from. The only viewport override is the linetype.

And the screenshot with the problematic line shown.

Never fails. A couple of minutes after posting and the answer becomes obvious. The lineweight in the original drawing was set to 0.0 instead of 1.0. I had found another with the linetype scale set to 0.25. That twigged me to check the line.

I hate revising old drawing to current standards!

Would those also be parcels and could it be attributed to that in some way?

Thanks Rick. I gave up trying to use Parcels for acquisitions a long time ago.

Hey Allen I recently started using object line weight in the ctb file and find it way better than color dependent.

I'm curious about your screen shot  your line weight column has all defaults 0 how does that work?

We definitely have Use Object Lineweight in the CTB. Much easier.

In the screenshot I should have grabbed the headers. The 0's are the Transparency.

But what is default?
Your Screen **** doesn’t show weights? And you said you achieved some weight. Also your plan picture displayed a density difference

The default is 0.010". That hasn't changed in years.

I’m not trying to tic you off. This is new to me; I never knew there was a default line weight for years. I’ve been using color dependent ctb my whole career and looking to understand object dependency better.

And trying to under stand your issue. You show a screen grab of all default weights And then your solution says the weights were something other in the xref. How is that possible? Line weight by entity instead of by layer?

I understand your confusion. It confused me at first, obviously. I've also used CTB's exclusively. At one point we were discussing (fighting over) color standards. Some people complained that they couldn't see certain colors very well on the old CRT's. Mostly yellow and cyan. So I changed the standards so that the CTB was set to plot lineweight By Object. That will default to the Layers lineweight if the entities lineweight is set to By Layer. The layers lineweight can be set to a specific value or to "Default". When I say that 0.010" has been the default for years. I meant that it has been our default for years. the default lineweight is set in the Lineweight Settings dialog box.

All our entities should be set to Lineweight set to "Use Object Lineweight". For some reason the line I had problems with was set to an individual lineweight. Don't know why. But I found some others in the old drawing that were also set individually. So I selected all the AutoCAD entities in the drawing and changed their lineweight to By Layer. If you have more questions. Let me know.

Hey Joe,

Glad you questioned it. I hadn't realized that is wasn't clear in my post. Now going back and reading it. I see that it isn't clear. Now it will be clear to others as well.

BTW: Since you can set the layers lineweight in each viewport. This allows entities in the Xref drawings to be displayed with different lineweights depending on what discipline your working on.
